Phase One Officially Complete with Dedication Event

While the work on the Phase One project has been complete for a few months now, Concordia Seminary waited till the warmer and more pleasant months of Spring to host its dedication of the Johann Hinrich Benidt Seminary Center. Thursday, April 26, 2012 was the culmination of more than 3 years worth of preparation, fund raising, and work on the Phase One project. With donors, members of the Seminary community, special guests, and even members of the local neighborhood present, President Dale Meyer and Dr. Kent Burreson, Dean of the Chapel, led the dedication with a crowd of nearly 300 people.

The Lord provided perfect weather for the dedication. Dr. Meyer was sure to highlight and thank all of the various individuals and teams that labored to make the Phase One project a reality. Tours of the newly renovated Benidt Center were offered to all in attendance. The dedication of the Benidt Center shows Concordia Seminary’s continued resolve to grow, flourish, and orient its life in communal ways through beautiful gathering spaces for the Seminary community, guests, and the surrounding neighborhood.

Below you’ll find a brief video which highlights the Dedication event and a picture gallery which captures candid moments from the Dedication.
